so far i'm the only one who's paid any rent this month...having just mailed a check this weekend for uh, a 1 followed by several other digits...but my roommates are currently having a poker game in this very apartment (i'll als throw in that one of them is still behind on LAST month as well...) it could be me that's wrong though...with my old fashioned, fascist values and what have you...

actually, robert, i understand brad gave you 100 on monday. he had owed 235 for july. he had given you, from what i understand, 160 up to before monday. so, technically, brad already has paid you 25 dollars towards august's rent. just so you know.

and, frankly, i hate the poker games too. you know i paid for so much, but then had to see what money he could have given me thrown away at a fucking poker game. and just so you know, for july's rent, on july 1, brad was walking out of the room and i was in my underwear and i asked him to give you my rent for july, 108. 4 days later i find out he held the money himself and never gave it to you so i do not want you to think rent was late on my part. it was a huge problem for me.

when i wrote it i wasn't thinking about the different from last month (as the $330 for this month is fresh on my mind...) anyway, it wasn't all there when this month's was due, but all that was ranting so i wasn't thinking too much about exact figures...and i don't remember when i got that money of yours for last month...i mean, obviously it's gotten to the point where i don't expect money from Brad at the first of the month so it usually takes a few weeks before i even start really thinking about it anyway...(though poker games in my house admittedly do quickly jog my memory...) the only thing i noticed on your end (and it's only a minor issue, not a big deal...) was $12 for 2 months of water bills ($6 a person a month, obviously...) i mentioned it to Brad a few times before you left, he probably didn't even mention it to you anyways...(financially speaking you have a pretty clean record with me so i guess i didn't notice/wasn't bothered by the rent thing you mentioned...)

Actually, Brad doesn't spend very much money in poker games. Its $5 a week. Thats it. $5 for a chance to hang out with old friends. And actually, Shade has given Brad the $5 several times. So please do not think the reason Brad cannot pay either of you back has anything to do with his poker games with friends.
