practice on sunday was pretty alright...uh, i also resurrected my game of Zelda (Wind Waker) and have made significant progress for the first time in a long time...woo! which is nice 'cuz it's possibly the best game ever...later sunday night Matt came over and we made some sound happen...again it was a little later and we were trying to be somewhat quiet, but i think we managed something at least...Jason and Amanda also came over...Amanda was bored while we rocked...and then when we stopped rocking a while later she might have been less bored...perhaps...

i was not feeling too good yesterday, by chance i just so happened to get assigned to "guru" a new-hire...which means i sat with him while he took the calls, meaning all my work was supervision...which couldn't've come with better timing, me having had a sore throat and all...though this only happened for half my shift...though it was the whole shift for today...hopefully he won't get put in trs any and i can guru the rest of the week...so i can hope...but anyway, the guy's part of this new crop of emo/hipster kids that have recently started working there...i'm almost positive they're all a group of friends or whatever...now this guy that's been sitting with me, nothing really against him personally as he seems nice enough, but dear god he fucking stinks! (yet another happy coincidence that i'm currently sick and my sinuses aren't at their peak) i mean, maybe i'm out of the loop and all but i find bathing every day to pretty much be a necessity, and i sure as hell can't fathom getting to the point where i would noticably stink...but i guess that's what keeps me down in this lower social strata...and he has a beard too...that probably doesn't have much to do with what i was just talking about, but you never know...hobos have beards, after all...uh yeah, i was gonna go out on a date with Jason to see the sneak preview of Taking Lives 'cuz somewhere he acquired free passes, but we got there and it was already sold out! the lady said people started lining up at 5!!! (now, the movie started at 7:30, 7 fucking 30!!! 2 and a half hours just to wait for Taking Lives!!! longer than the fucking movie! i mean, we weren't going to the movie 'cuz we thought we'd like it, on the contrary! it was free and we're bored people and bad movies can be entertaining enough when they're free...but jesus! people really are dumb...) so instead we went and ate at the mall and visited Amanda at work...then we went back to my apartment and Amanda met us too when she got off work and we sat around...they watched me play Zelda, it was awesome...

i was awoken like an hour before i was scheduled to wake up via my alarm by a call from my mom...my sister was in a car wreck somewhere in alabama and in the hospital...at the time my mom didn't know her condition, but by now we know she's alive and all that, hurt i guess but nothing too life-threateningly serious as they released her and by now they're back home...my mom had called to ask me to come to the house to check on the dogs 'cuz she was going down there to get/visit/whatever my sister (and i had been already planned on going there tonight to do laundry...golly what a string of coindiences...) the dogs were happy to see me and i them...i was, of course, a bit worried earlier...but i guess everything seems to be relatively okay...though for some odd reason it never seems to be a surprise when my sister gets into any such trouble...hrm...over and out...
