lamenting the lost dub of Movement...
Jan. 16th, 2003 02:22 amended up paying for school last night...well, half of the semester...which is all that's required for a couple months...so that's taken care of for now...i worked a rush today...i was only there and hour and a half...took 4 runs...the first was to my sister...she actually tipped me $5...yay for families or something...after walking away w/ my $15 i went to Turtle's where i ended up purchasing a used dvd: Conceving Ada...i had never heard of it, but the word "Ada" in the title sparked my attention...as i suspected, it is partially about Ada Lovelace so i decided it'd warrant a purchase on merit of that alone...(as many might not know and as i just realized "Ada Lovelace" might either sound like a porn star or country singer, she was the first "computer" programmer, back in Victorian England...daughter of Lord Byron (the romantic poet)...writting code for an "analytical engine" designed by Charles Babbage that never ended up actually being built...) i also ended up getting a new cd: Scientist: Wins the World Cup...it fucking rules...i need more dub...i jah i...then i went over to Jacques'...we saw a bit of that Man Vs. Beast thing on Fox...i mean, obviously it had to be one of the worst things ever...but watching it was just painful...we ended up watching The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie...i'd like to watch it again pretty soon...though it's definately not a watch-often film...but it's also not a watch-only-once-and-catch-everything film...he went to bed...i left...i was going to go to Neil's but then changed my mind and drove around until i found out for sure that i didn't have to go back to work at midnight...i came home and watched Conceiving Ada...worth the purchase...now 1/6 of my dvds are about mathematicians...i guess that's all for now, yo...
