did end up watching those movies last night...first Xiu Xiu (The Sent Down Girl), then Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels...they were both very good...it's good i watched them in the order i did...Xiu Xiu is one of THE most depressing things i've ever seen...even after watching the very funny Lock, Stock... i kept thinking about it and would just feel awful...then today i woke up and watched The Simpsons...my tags arrived in the mail today...woohoo! i'm street legal! the intense paranoia while driving has subsided quite a bit! i met Jacques, Amber, Paul, and Shawna at Molly's La Casita...then the three dudes went to the space to practice...my new drum machine filled in for Brad...first practice in like a fuckin' month...hopefully they'll be happening w/ more frequency now...then i took Paul and Shawna out to Paul's mom...then i went and picked Justin up...we drove out to my place and got the mixer and recorder and took them to the space...(i was fuckin' driving all over tonight...) the plan was to record a certain classic rock reunion album for a very special lj friend...we did get one song written for it...the actual recording didn't quite take off...oh well...durring the process i almost went blind...i was going to adjust something on the amp and one of the unclipped ends of string sticking off the head of the guitar Justin was playing poked me in the eye...i think it just hit the tear duct area and the lid, i'm pretty sure no eyeball was scraped...it was just a split second...i didn't even realize what happened 'til just after...i suddenly felt a strange pain in my eye and for that brief moment i saw a sheet of flashes of white light...like giant stars or something...it was really fucking weird...i never lost any vision or anything...it didn't hurt for too long...but even now there's a mild soreness...well, i'm obviously back home now...it's been raining like a fucking whore and it sucks...well, off to bed soon...hopefully i won't be blind when i wake up or anything...
