jesus christ it fucking took forever to connect to the shitty university server...i worked tonight...i have a boring little story about one of my first runs, loaded w/ wacky irony! so i go to 99 N Main St. to take this order...and i call security on the call box but they don't answer so i call the person i'm delivering to on my cell they say they'll meet me downstairs but shortly after that i got let in the building and i called her back...so then i get up to apartment 1606 and when no one answers my knock i look at the ticket and see that it's actually 109 N Main St. i'm supposed to be at...a big "DOH!"...so i go to the next building over (this being the right building) and get to the door, and guess what? the security guard's not there to answer...and i couldn't really call the person up again and say AGAIN that i'm outside unable to get through to the security guard...as i'm supposedly already in the damn building...but luckily i saw someone coming into the lobby...but who could it be? oh! it's a lady guiding an elderly lady w/ a walker over to the couch...very slowly, as elderly women w/ walkers tend to be...finally after she's (the not-so-old one) standing around i get her attention and get her to open the door for me...thrilling...there was this new guy closing tonight...and i'm all ready to leave w/ my sidework done (after i had been off the road for a while doing it...) but this guy's been gone over a damn hour (no exaggeration) going downtown...and the orders had gotten backed up even though they shouldn't've been, so i had to go back out and do one last run...(he came back as i was going out the door, actually...though he prob'ly wouldn't've been able to handle the run i was doing anyway...) blah blah blah...friday, i'll be training my first person ever...a new driver, of course...her name is Kori...(w/ an 'i' how cuuuuuute...) i wonder if she's a cute indie chick.........that's odd...i shouldn't be able to hear you laughing...WHATever...on a happy note: there was a project due in networks tomorrow but it got postponed 'til tuesday...sweet...though i do have a.i. hw to do tonight...mayhaps i'll gets started on that soons...
