I met up with some of The Terminator scrap metal crew at La Guadalupana. Had this post-performance meetup planned for a little while. Not a lot of them were able to make it but we'll do it again. We just got there and ate and talked for a while. At first it was just me, Graham M., and Taj. Kiefer eventually showed up but when he first put in the address for directions, his phone pointed him to the same street address but in Hernando, MS. So he got to some residential neighborhood with a Summer Ave. and realized that it was wrong and he was pretty far away! Taj had to leave after not too long because he had somewhere to be, but the rest of us kept sitting around talking for a while. I was there almost four hours. Pretty sure I'd never been there for that long in one sitting before! Anyway, it was good to see some people. Later Mary Beth was craving some pizza so I went and picked some up from Slice. She wanted to experiment and branch out so we got unusual-for-us toppings. One was ham and pineapple and the other was pork and spinach. They were both really good but I gotta say, Slice's pork topping is surprisingly really good. Like, for a pizza place where pork isn't their main thing, it's way better than it has to be and you'd think it'd be. Really smokey and tender pulled pork with some nice hunks and lots of flavor. I wonder if they source it from a local barbecue joint. Anyway, we'll remember that for later. At night we watched a few episodes of Anthony Bourdain, Nicaragua and Lagos. Not a whole lot else for now.
