Pain in the

The night before last I must have slept badly as my neck was sore yesterday. And that thing where you notice it more as the day goes on. Mary Beth and I were watching some Kids in the Hall at night and in one of the sketches there was a water bottle in the background and that reminded me that I have a water bottle that would be perfect to use. So at least I was able to break that out right before bed. Sleeping last night was difficult though, but I managed. I woke up with it really crazy stiff this morning. But after also remembering ibuprofen and taking that and the nice hot shower, hopefully it's better. Plus I have my water bottle ready to break out at any moment. Still, it's pretty sucky. Feel like I can barely move my head. I had a ridiculous discovery yesterday evening as well. I was, for random reasons, looking over all the Pitchfork reviews of Sonic Youth releases and discovered that they had a fucking soundtrack out in 2003 (for some movie called Demonlover) that I'd never even heard of! How the fuck did that get past me, especially back then!? And then in the subsequent more than two decades!? Felt pretty dumb. It's also got songs by other artists, but the main movie score and most of the disc is Sonic Youth that I do not have. My brain feels a little broken by that. Oh well. I also remembered something I forgot to mention that happened towards the end of last week: I got a summons for federal jury duty in March. This is the one where you just have to call in every single day for the whole month to see if you have to come in the next day. So I guess I've got that looming and to look forward to.
