New Year's Day

Mary Beth and I did a few things to celebrate the new year. In the later part of the afternoon we went to Overton Park and did the stuff of walking around the Old Forest and around the pond and watching the trailing light of the sunset across the greensward as the sliver of moon and Venus took over the changing colors of the sky. Later at night we played that Trekking the National Parks board game and it was a lot of fun. Very reminiscent (in a nebulous way) of a few eurostyle boardgames but with the combination of gameplay elements working to give it its own unique flavor. Anyway, now to start work for the year.
