There was a pretty big pipe leap in the wall behind our shower. Called the plumber as we checked the basement and it was flooding (not more than the drain can handle, but still!). We also cleared space 'cuz we figured he'd need to get to the access panel in the closet on the other side of that wall. So we had to clear the path as a desk with a lot of books was in the way. Then clear out the clothes that have been in that closet for years, and water had leaked into the bottom and they were kinda soaked and filthy down at the bottom. But they came and fixed it pretty quickly. I was also having big frustrations where I was behind getting something done at work and was stuck trying to figure out something that was wrong. I finally got it figured out by the end of the day. What it was is I'm uploading these files to an api and the file would transfer but it was reading as text instead of pdf so when you download it, it would show the raw text of the file (you could then do a manual kind of thing and make it into the pdf so it was there, just registering as the wrong file type). I'll skip the long and very boring details, but what it was is that I wasn't setting the correct Content-Type header. Fine, and I figured that out, but...it still wasn't working. In my process I'm updating different versions of the same document, so after I've started we save the document id and then do updates for each subsequent version. So when I rerun it to test, it's trying to update...but issue was that once that type was set on the first document, it wouldn't get changed on future updates. So even though I started sending the correct type, it wouldn't take the correction unless I started over with a fresh new document. So for a while, I thought that wasn't the issue and kept looking for something else until I finally figured it out. So it was very frustrating. It was like, I made a mistake to start with, but I couldn't tell I'd fixed it because the api was behaving in a dumb way. Okay, enough boring work talk!
