Park, Grocery Store, Show

After work (my sole floating workday) I went with Mary Beth to the Park. Well, first I made quick trip to Home Depot to pick up a waterhose washer and that helped and water isn't spraying out of the outside faucet anymore but the pressure (while better) seems a bit low so there may be a leak in the pipes or something. Okay, back to the Park. We walked around the Old Forest and it felt so nice and cool inside. Then walked around the pond looking for turtles (didn't see many but saw some). So the zoo has had this dumb dinosaurs exhibit and it's near the other side of the fence from the pond. It's had these dumb mechanical roaring noises that are loud and you always hear when at the pond now, but it seems like they added more noises recently and they're even weirder and dumber and one is accompanied by what sounds like beating an oil drum. Um. Okay? That's some nice real zoo stuff you got going on there, zoo. While walking back through the greensward we saw a bunch of kites flying relatively low and so we stopped and watched in some shade to marvel in it. Then a man and kid came out with the toy kind of kite (as opposed to the birds which is what I was previously talking about) and so for a while the kite was flying among the kites. Later at night I went to a show at DKDC. Well, on the way I stopped by Kroger to pick something up to give someone today. I hate going to that Kroger on Union, it's always been a fucking mess. But I figured it was just an in-and-out thing and kinda on the way. Well, I go pick up my stuff and go get in line at a self-checkout thing. It's in a bay where there's just one register open and next to it's a bay with more registers open. Anyway, after waiting for the person in front of me to check out, they're finishing and paying and about to leave so it's about to be my turn but the security guard THEN tells me there's one line and it's over there next to the other bay. So I'm a little frustrated at being told this after waiting. But then I go over and the line seems like but then as I get to it, I see it wrapping around and magically becoming even way the fuck longer. I already had to go to a show and I was frustrated at waiting in the other line (not nearly as long but still) first and annoyed by the general disorder and crappy management of that Kroger so I just abandoned my cart and left (which I'm not proud of, but damn that place is frustrating). I stopped by a CVS around the corner and got what I needed and didn't have a crazy wait. Okay! Then I got to the show at DKDC. Sadly, I missed W1ND0W's set but I caught the rest of it. Lots of people were at this show including lots of friends and I got to talk to them and stuff. Next act I caught was called, I think, Pretty Boy Handsome Girl and they were okay. Kinda poppy punky girl group thing. Some of their stuff was good, some not so much my thing. They talked about being fun and having fun and did some radio hit covers. Next it was Suroor and her set was good. She had Julia on drums again. One song she had everyone sit in storytime circle formation on the floor. Last was Optic Sink and they were great as always. Now I'm waiting to see if the plumber shows!
