Yesterday I had some exciting developments with the last thing left I'm working on with the festival planning. And I'm severely hoping that I didn't blow it! (I'm getting the feeling that I did but maybe I can be paranoid about my communication skills? Okay, no I am genuinely bad at that, but I'm waiting, we'll see if I did or not.) In the evening Mary Beth took me to a chamber music performance up at Crosstown called Mahogany Magic (the last of this Mahogany Chamber Music Series). It was four musicians: cellist, oboist, pianist, and violinist. They each did a solo performance. Then the second half was some pieces in a couple different group configurations. Each one did some very interesting things with their instrument. Anyway, it was quite a lovely performance. Later at night I worked a little bit on the soundtrack. I have a screen set up where I can watch it while playing which is good. I mostly just messed around a little while it was going. I need to work some more on setting up actual sounds to use.
