Communication

There had ended up being some confusion and miscommunication around the show-related stuff I'd mentioned yesterday. So the guy I was talking to had, at close to the time he'd reached out to me, reached out to Bob Moses (jazz drummer who'd played with Roland Kirk and somewhat recently moved to Memphis, I guess) and when I responded to him (he initially messaged me through my bandcamp so it wasn't a two-way communication, he sent phone number so I'd switched to texting him) I said it was "Robert" and then he thought I was this Bob and so these other musicians (that we both know) who live in other states were going to come up to play with this Bob Moses they thought would be playing with them, but it was just me. So they're not anymore, hah. I still am, and I guess I'm following through with this idea I'd initially had of throwing together a free jazz ensemble of some sort. See, this show is the day after another show I'm already playing so it wouldn't've been time enough for me to put together a new set, so at first I'd declined but when he mentioned the someone we both know in another state who plays jazz I thought I could do a jazz thing too. I have some of the additional members but still need to find some more. It'll either be goofy or amazing but it'll be fun either way.
