Givings

Yesterday Mary Beth and I did our Thanksgiving meal for lunch. She'd slow cooked a duck (followed by a roasting) for our main bird (with a few sides of homemade cranberry sauce and popovers). It was very delicious! Then for dinner I went over to my parents'. It was the first time everyone was there in a while (both Jason and Anthony). The food was good too. My dad had smoked a brisket. I'm still full from the two Thanksgiving meals yesterday. Anthony was being funny and cracked me up. At one point he did an impression of Elon Musk and was just "I own Twitter. I fired some people. I'm super rich." Then after dinner my parents were watching tv and it was just that Masked Singer show and it's very weird and boring and feels like a Japanese gameshow but with the Americanized aspects cancelling out anything that might be endearing (just looked it up and it originated in Korea). It has that thing all reality tv shows seem to have where it pads lack-of-content with "suspense-building" pauses where nothing's happening (where, that could build suspense if used judiciously but when it's nonstop it's just pretty fucking boring). Okay, so yes, confirmed, tv is still stupid. Anyway, back home and still full.
