Clinical Acuity

I was pleased to see that Annie Ernaux won the Nobel Prize in Literature this year! I was like "holy shit!" 'cuz I literally just read that novella last week! (Sure, it wasn't as good as the other thing I'd read by her Cleaned Out, but really exciting to see someone I'm familiar with and like win and who was just on my brain.) Anyway, fun news! Mary Beth and I went on a twilight walk last night. Then we ordered some Cornish hens from Cozy Corner (we'd eaten there before but never tried the hens though we'd been meaning to and saying we would for years and years) and it was delicious and I ate much. Mary Beth read to me a bunch of Anna Kavan stories throughout the day yesterday (all were exceptional but "A Bright Green Field" was exceptionally exceptional). Had trouble getting to sleep last night since I'd woken up so late, but I got up today so hopefully it'll be a resetting day. Anyway, continuing my vacation time...!
