I got most of my books from The Strand birthday gift certificate I got from Mary Beth's parents in the mail yesterday: The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter, Go Tell It on the Mountain by James Baldwin, Near to the Wild Heart by Clarice Lispector, Middle C by William H. Gass, Julia and the Bazooka by Anna Kavan, and Cartesian Sonata & Other Novellas by William H. Gass. In the evening Mary Beth and I went on a walk and it was perfect for it because the little bit of rain had made it cooler (and there's a whole lot more rain outside right now). Got news that Amogh is getting married in a few months. That's exciting! Okay, now let me do this Friday thing.
