Went to a show last night and it was great! First up was Dinosauria and Malcolm was great as always, but he surprised me with his last song which was super-Sabbathy and it ruled! Next up was Pop Saw, saxophone and guitar from (mostly) Jackson, MS (though one of them lives in New Orleans now) and they were super-great. Abstract, sparse jazz. Guitarist did a good bit of prepared guitar type stuff, placing combs and bowls on his strings. And he had some fun delay effects as well. Last was Pas moi and they were good as always and this was one of the better sets of theirs I've seen! I also got to hang out and talk with a good number of people. And there was a good crowd that showed up, including some people I don't really even know so that's always nice! Anyway, fun night and great show! Oh, and it ran on schedule and I was home before bedtime and that's also always nice!
