Yesterday I finished reading A Ladder to the Sky by John Boyne and it was bad. The writing was pretty bad (not the worst, but not really good either). The plot was very predictable. Most everything about it was ridiculous or tiresome. There were some things I thought had promise with the arrangement/structure. And at least it flew by real quickly.
