ateolf: (me and Leala)
We took another walk in the afternoon yesterday. The day was warm and had been sunny but by the time we walked it had gotten overcast (still not precipitation yet). Reminds me about what I forgot to mention in our last post. We had a confusing revelation about one (or two?) of the cats we see in our walks. So there's a bunch of black and white cats at this house on Madison and then one around the corner at this house on Cox. Well, we had associated Günter with the house on Cox and then there was this cat on the Madison house that we were calling Rico. We knew Günter wandered around some, but we saw the cat we thought was Rico go from the Madison to the Cox house and now we're thinking maybe they're both the same cat, she's just had two bases of operations. Rico's had two younger cats that look just like her (that we named Nico and Tico) that we've only ever seen on that Madison porch, but recall Günter had the Güntlets that we saw over on Madison when they were just newborn babies and they looked like little mini-clones of her. So it's looking like Günter and Rico are probably just the same cat. Was there another cat around the area that we're getting mixed up with too? I'm not sure. Anyway, neighborhood cat talk in VERY specific details. ENJOY THAT! Anyway, later in the evening yesterday I finished reading Sabbatical by John Barth. It was okay, definitely not as good as anything else I've read by him. Later at night we watched Desperately Seeking Susan. It was good, at first the whole amnesia conceit was a little goofy (though still enjoyable) though I liked the way all the components came together in the end. It was also fun to see Arto Lindsay in a bit role (also spotting Richard Edson and John Lurie).
