Yesterday Mary Beth and I took a walk to the park and we were walking through the forest as usual. Right after the log steps, we were listening to and looking for a woodpecker. Then a bee gets in my hair and I hear it buzzing and feel it bumping against my head. I flip out a little bit and start ducking down and swatting my arm at it. Probably a bad move, but I didn't want it stinging my damn head. Instead it stung my arm right near my elbow. It hurt a little bit, like a bee sting does. I just keep walking to take my mind off it. We end up walking out of the forest, I guess 'cuz of the bee experience. But we walk across the greensward, where we normally don't go. And took a walk in the grove by the zoo parking lot. It's a really nice grove to walk through. Later we got dinner to use up this lot of gift cards we had and we picked up Carrabba's. It was fine, free, cheesy italian food. Then we watched 8½ Women (the Peter Greenaway movie) and it was good. Now a new day. Still feel the sting-mark on my arm, but kind of as a distant old rash or something.
