Control

Let's see it was Friday so what did I do yesterday? I feel like I had more than now as I'm going back over it. But in the evening I figured out how to control Reaper over my "new" (newly used, set up decently) tablet. It's browser-based and it uses html files and it comes with a few and of course you can create your own should you want to, but the one thing is that none of the ones it comes with have the one thing I most want from that: panning (turning the little panning knobs on the computer with a mouse/trackpad has always been a pain). I'll do some more digging to see if I can find someone that's made one. Worst case I can modify one of the ones I have (though they're all html with embedded javascript and that's not the most pleasant way to work...also, I don't know what methods/variables to use to access that feature, I haven't seen any documentation about that yet...I imagine there's some out there, but again, something I'd have to dig around for). Last night while Mary Beth was reading to me, I tangentially got another (yet another) idea or half-idea for a novel. I jotted down some notes, it needs more structural planning before I could begin on it...and at best I'll probably eventually get no more than a few pages of actual writing (as always happens), but whatever, it's an idea I'll let ferment a little while. Late last night someone around the corner just out of sight was doing something with some fucking machinery, for hours, and well after midnight and one am. Like it was a weedeater or chainsaw or drill or lawnmower or some shit and it'd keep coming up. Very annoying but I was so tired I finally fell asleep.
