Right to Left

Did a few connection tests yesterday afternoon. They went really well. Had a couple issues and worked through 'em. And someone I'd never talked to "in-person" before (outside of email and instagram messages) and had somewhat intimidated me before asking to be on the festival (to the point that I was going to earlier and then didn't, but finally relented and did) was very nice. I shouldn't be surprised if we've made it this far, but it's still a pleasant way for things to turn out. Mary Beth and I went on a walk in the afternoon. The weather's been hitting the hot and humid stage and yesterday was no exception. At least the hot part was on the low end of hot (but the humid factor was up high). We hadn't been on one in a while and it wasn't a terribly long walk. In the shade among trees it was even almost nice, but I did return home with a sweat-soaked shirt and stinking things up in spite of my deodorant. Mostly at night I worked on the video for the festival. It's actually coming along pretty well so far and even better than I'd expected. There was an animation thing (simple, but still) I wasn't sure I'd be able to do and it actually came off pretty well and almost easy in OpenShot (the video editor I use...and to think I'd was looking around for an animation tool when what I wanted was here all along!). Not done yet but the video part is getting close to done, at least as a rough draft. I've been given interview questions again from Charlie, this time for a Nashville rag so I'll be answering those today. Fun stuff! Oh yeah, and also had someone drop out of the festival yesterday, but it wasn't completely unexpected (though recent communications had dissuaded my doubts to where I was confident enough to go forward with the schedule, but oh well, these things happen). Anyway, got a replacement worked out pretty quickly along with the minor cascading shuffling-around that entailed. So, all good!
