More Water

Since the day all our water got turned back on, there had been a small drip of water through the ceiling of our small bathroom. When they first cut it back on, our neighbor's washing machine upstairs had a busted connection and there was a rush of flooding from that, before cutting that off. So at first I thought it was residual water from that initial huge flood. Last night the dripping started multiplying a whole lot (and I think a little bit the day before). During the night I couldn't fall asleep because of the randomly timed plops of water dripping down. I could see, going in there late in the night, that it was spreading a lot and there were new cracks in the ceiling. So when I woke up too early this morning we messaged our neighbors and it was still leaking just a little bit up there, but what there was was of course coming down into our ceiling. The valve directly connected to the machine was off but it was still allowing a small trickle out. So I went down to the basement to test if we could cut it off down there. We got it and it seems like that valve only goes up to their laundry room so we're not seeing any lack of water anywhere. So we seem to have stopped the leaking until they're able to get the part to fix it. Anyway, that's our little bit in Continuing Water Adventures. I forgot to mention that the day before yesterday I had my yearly performance review and it went well, so that's good.
