We had a very wintry day yesterday. There was a lot of ice covering everything and it snowed just a little bit throughout the day. And it snowed more overnight because there's actually a dusting of snow covering the ground this morning. I didn't mention in my last post how we went to Fresh Market during my lunch break on Wednesday and it was way more crowded than usual (all the people rushing to shop before the ice storm...but Fresh Market isn't where you go to get milk and bread...?). I worked on the site more last night. I think it's pretty close to hitting an mvp level, just need to work out a few kinks and then it's at least good-enough-for-now. We'll see. Oh yeah, and that new The Body album is SO good! I think it's their best since I Shall Die Here (so that makes it their second best). It's really really fucking heavy. And it has more of a stripped-down sound, focusing more on just the guitar and drums. There's still some extra stuff but it tends to be background and more textural and less prominent. And it has more of a live feel, but with the production very present and very much hyper-emphasizing the distortion and noise and messy textures. Anyway, it's really good stuff.
