Had a nice Friday-before-the-holiday and got off work a little early. I finished reading AVA by Carole Maso and it was extremely good. It's very fragmented and well written (and plundered). The writing and form make me think of some interpolation of David Markson, William S. Burroughs, and Virginia Woolf. Later at night Mary Beth and I watched Louise Brooks: Looking for Lulu, a documentary about Louis Brooks (of course). It was good. And I'm reminded again I definitely need to actually see Pandora's Box (as when Mary Beth watched it not too long ago, I'd thought I'd seen it but then realized I had not actually seen it). Passed out early last night after Mary Beth read to me. Though I still woke up a bit early. I almost got eight hours but not quite. Well, still a long weekend ahead.
