This Is Not This Day

I finally got my hands on a This Is Not This Heat shirt yesterday. It arrived in the mail. A little while back, the promoter or whatever posted online about going through storage during covid and finding some leftover boxes of this merch so I went for it as I was always sad I missed out being able to get a shirt 'cuz I was too busy securing a good spot to SEE the band when I saw them. In other yesterday news I finished reading Ducks, Newburyport by Lucy Ellmann. I hadn't read a hefty tome like that in a good while! And I definitely haven't read anything so current in an even longer while, it'd seem. I mean, that's something I almost never do. And it was quite the good book so I'm definitely happy about my last secret santa working out so well. Otherwise, Mary Beth and I did some watching yesterday. We watched The Scarlett Empress and it was pretty good. Later we watched some tv. We watched The Simpsons episode that parodies The Prisoner (as a follow-up to our recent Prisoner-a-thon). I've always liked that episode but some of the gags definitely come into sharper focus after having actually watched the source! We also finished up the evening by watching a bunch of Parks and Recreation. Of late, I've been getting quite into drinking ginger ale with cucumber slices. Oh so tasty! There's a little tidbit I'd meant to mention from our walk on Thursday that I forgot. Well, we're walking in the park and we see this squirrel and we see his balls all swingin' around. That was funny enough but then Mary Beth notice shortly later he was jacking off. Like, I could see him moving around funny too but I couldn't quite make out what was going on from my angle. Anyway, squirrel perversions! Yeah!
