I dipped my toe into Indie Memphis screening last night for the first time this year. I watched like four shorts (and there are only nine rated now including my own so I started off with almost half the work! that won't last!). I feel I rated everything I saw too highly. Especially after waking up on them this morning. Oh well, it's hard to calibrate your judging metric.

The quote in the subject line is from Isak Dinesen's story "The Dreamers" which I am in the middle of reading. It's not often that I run across a quotable quote that sticks out to me, but I did for once and I liked it so I made a note of it up there!
