Mary Beth and I had our Christmas together yesterday. I got a thumb piano with a pickup and jack so I can plug it in. Pretty sweet! I was planning on incorporating some little instruments like that (and my jackable ukulele) into future performances so that's sweet! I also got a bunch of Kilwins chocolate so hell yeah! I gifted her the song I've been working on. I mean, this one's far from complete, just the basic skeleton done, but hopefully it'll turn out sweet. It's a cover of "Flashdance... What a Feeling". So far I've just done a couple parts on the Prophet but I've got some nice pads going. We had a nice dinner of red beans and rice and then we watched This One's for the Ladies, which Mary Beth saw at Indie Memphis a while back but I didn't. It's a documentary about back, male strippers. Then we wrapped up the night with a little bit of The Simpsons. Now we're up super early for family stuff. Why would I wake up earlier on my day off than I go in to work? Well, at least I slept okay. I just took some nyquil since I'm getting sick and stuff up and just got my proper sleep anyway.
