After our usual errand running yesterday, I did a little work for my show tomorrow, starting up a base patch. Haven't turned the power on or listened to any of how it'll sound yet, just getting an initial structure down. I'll definitely have to finish that up today! In the afternoon, Mary Beth and I went downtown to the river arts festival and walked up and down Riverside Dr. to see it all. The weather was very overcast but there wasn't any rain while we were down there. Then we went to see Beetlejuice for free over at Overton Square. It was one of those movies I watched a whole bunch as a kid (though haven't seen since), off a vhs dubbed from hbo or whatever. After watching Schitt's Creek, wanted to get more Catherine O'Hara into my eyeballs and earholes. (Like most of Burton's stuff, doesn't really hold up, but was entertaining to revisit.) They screen the movies in the little area in the back by the bell tower where the stage and screen are. The weather wasn't completely dry but it was only very light misting here and there. I had a poncho with me in case of rain but didn't even use it. My hair was slightly damp afterwards and that's about it. They had a drawing before giving away insulated cups and ooh I won one! The thrills!
