Anecdotally
Jul. 11th, 2019 05:09 pmDidn't even realize at first that Mike Honeycutt is on this Third Noise Principle compilation (as Mystery Hearsay) put out by Cherry Red Records! Makes sense that he was selling them now! It'd just looked like a bunch of cool shit. And then he said stuff about Memphis Concrète in his liner notes blurb so that's super nice and super awesome! Had a funny interview at work today. In that it didn't last long. One of the first things the guy said was that he likes Mule because he doesn't like writing code and hates Java and Avi and I looked at each other like that's a weird thing to say. Then going through his questioning as the guy answers all the technical questions with very vague, non-technical answers, it comes out that he hasn't worked as a Mule developer, only doing "support" which I'm not even exactly clear what that is. So then the interview was wrapped up pretty quickly. I mean, this is for a senior developer position. Partly it seems like he may have lied about his resume, apparently that goes around a lot. Also the end of the day was kinda funny 'cuz Mary Beth messaged me to let me know that the Lydia Lunch show next week had sold out! I messaged Josh (who books at the P&H, where the show surreally is, and who set the show up) to see if there might be any way AROUND it or whatever, but it was just a mistake that they were sold out on the site and he was in the middle of trying to fix it (and mildly freaking out). Tried to help him a little but he'd gotten it figured out. Anyway, stories stories stories.
