I went to a show last night up at the p&h. MPX was the opener and he was good as usual. The other two acts were touring. Next was Kurt Vise and he was okay. Technoish electronic, beat-driven. Nothing terribly memorable or exceptional, not bad but kinda wallpaper. Last was Pastel Fractal and it was just awful. He did the very goofy thing of wearing bright pastel clothes (tank top and jams, you know, like the eighties). He had a conch shell strapped to his face. All his "lyrics" which were mostly spoken were projected from a karaoke machine or whatever. The music was bad but he had lots of antics and I guess it was supposed to be "funny" so whatever, but I hated it. I did get to talk to some folks. That guy Matt who I met at my last show was there and we talked a while. Talked to Betsy and Mark and Jacques and Luís at times. Then I went home smelling of smoke. Today at work I hopefully wrapped up my hackathon thing (just have to finish writing unit tests and getting that dumb stuff in order so it'll actually be able to deploy). So yeah, that's about it and now I'm home and stuff.
