A Day

Not a whole lot as of yet. I watched Hannah Gadsby's Nanette comedy special last night. I exercised first thing this morning (relatively speaking). Now it's the fourth of July and all that. I've never been one for displays of patriotism, I find that whole thing generally gross and jingoistic and problematic in that it tends (not as a rule but as a strong tendency) to interfere with rational criticism and all that necessary stuff. Anyway, that isn't to say I never have some level of reserved patriotism (really not the word I want, respect for some things about the country? I dunno...something like that), but that's all feeling at its absolute nadir right now. Feeling very little respect for this shithole of a place we're in right now. Hopefully things will change soon. Anyway, for now. Ra ra boom boom fireworks, etc.
