Mary Beth and I hung out with her parents most of the day yesterday. We drove downtown (got to try out parking in my garage during off hours for the first time). We walked a little down Beale Street. Then we went and had lunch at Payne's (the good stuff!). Mary Beth and I were ordering rib sandwiches and they were like we're out of ribs, but then Flora chimed in and said they had rib tips if we'd like that (which is not on the menu) and it was so fuckin' good! Then we drove around some. We went to Overton Park for a bit. We went to Mud Island and had a little look at the river. We went to the Crosstown Concourse and showed them around a little bit. We tried to go to Loflin Yard but with music fest going around so close we figured we wouldn't find a parking spot so well. We tried Railgarten but that seemed crowded. We ended up hanging up a bit at Bosco's (making our way in through the sudden and brief downpour). Then we dropped them off and it was evening time and Mary Beth and I went back home. I had a cd waiting for me: Severed Heads: City Slab Horror. Spent the evening working on the compilation, evening out differences in volume in the tracks. Burned another test disc and it's getting closer. Anyway, it's another morning. More in-laws to come later.
