ANNOUNCEMENT!

Been a crazy (slightly, or crazy for me or whatever, or not crazy really, but a few things happened) past couple days. Went to the doctor yesterday morning for my checkup. Pretty normal and things seem in good order so that's a good thing. Got in to work to the news that Sterling is leaving our team! A new team is being formed to fix all the apis and he was selected to be in that. So it'll be sad to see him move on as he's a good developer and enjoyable company. I mean, he's just physically moving one row over. But you know. Anyway, after work I went up to Cafe Eclectic for a Memphis Concrète planning session. I think it went pretty good. A few good ideas and some things clearing up. I should stop getting caffeine at these evening/night meetings as I was up late and couldn't get to sleep! Partway, I was working on finishing the Memphis Concrète font (when I designed the logo, I only made the characters that were actively being used) for the initial lineup announcement. Anyway, after a bunch of fudging with it last night and this morning, I got it posted! And holy shit! Here's what I announced on facebook: Pharmakon (I mean, yes, yes, fucking Pharmakon!), Circuit des Yeux, Negative Gemini, George Clanton, Natalie Hoffmann (of NOTS...feel bad 'cuz I had a kerning issue with her name and it looks like I left the 'I' out but it just got swallowed by the 'E' due to my janky font), Linda Heck, Mike Honeycutt, Alyssa Moore (she's also going to be doing sound, so that's a big plus as we have some national artists!), Starfighter Yellow Superoverdrive, The E.G.G.G., and Sci Fi Industries!!! So it's really exciting to see it all getting a response and that it's all fuckin' just out there! So yeah. That is a thing, a huge damn thing. Anyway, I'll stop myself from rambling in a loop about how awesome it is. Well...another awesome thing. Mary Beth just bought us tickets to Pitchfork Festival this year... I mean, This Is Not This Heat is playing right on my fucking 40th birthday! How's that for awesome!? My brain is exploding or something so I should stop typing now.
