In the less savory news from yesterday, it seems our washing machine may have a leak. Lots of water coming out the bottom of it. Spent a bit of time investigating that, draining water out and such. Turned off the connecting water and disconnected it so it's not leaking now. Not sure if something in it cracked or broke and caused a leak of if it being full of water in the trap on bottom and/or that water freezing causing other water to overflow the trap. I'll hook it back up today to investigate that, now that it's all drained out. So yeah, in more fun news we had a Memphis Concrète planning meeting. And this one had the most people there at one time! Almost everyone, only Luís was absent 'cuz he'd come down with a cold. It was Chris's first time at a meeting (so me, Chris, Amy, Paul, and Jacques). We went over budget stuff and the artists we're considering getting and sponsorship and stuff. So far stuff sounds pretty good. We'll see how it goes. Jacques brought me one of The Family Ghost: H.I.D. Original Soundtrack cdrs. So here I am with my very own copy, woo. I got my package of modules in the mail: Doepfer A-180-9 Multicore and Intellijel Quadra. Now I can "connect" my two cases fully patched even when they're closed! The multicore is two identical passive modules that connect with ethernet cables so you can leave up to 14 patched connections and only hook/unhook the two ethernet cables. It's the most excited I've been about any module that does nothing to contribute to the actual sound. But it's so practical for one such as I with two portable cases! And also now I have more envelopes! I installed them in my cases yesterday evening. Also, now all of my modules have washers. No more rack rash for me. Then I spent just about all night dicking around and playing with my stuff and it was fun. I'm also now subconsciously more inclined to patch between cases with the new module(s). I would before by necessity but it always seemed rarely more than like three cross-case patches and I ended up doing maybe twice as many as that. Anyway, yeah, fun stuff.
