Cold Aliens

Last night there was a time warp drive-in double feature (not a full all-nighter, thankfully given the time of year) of Alien and Aliens so prepared for the expedition and went. I'm surprised they did any given the time of year and weather, but I guess they picked the right movies to bring people out 'cuz people were actually there. So we picked up a couple pizzas from Little Italy and packed drinks and a thermos and blankets and donned all our cold weather gear. We were running a little behind and then the fucker giving us the ticket tells us the wrong screen number, I thought it was weird but it's also a weird night for time warp, not the full four movie marathon. But I realized it was all wrong right after I made the turn to the wrong screen and had to exit and get back in line before I could get back in. At least the movie hadn't started yet and people park funny so there were still spaces up towards the front even though people were parked going way back. We watched Alien and it was awesome as always. We watched the first part of Aliens (up til they're landing on the planet) and decided to call it a night (not a huge fan of that one anyway, it's okay and it's watchable but the first one is just SO good). It was of course cold and all that, but we were pretty prepared and it was a fun experience. I also finished reading the extensive liner notes to the Unwound box set last night. Fun fun stuff!
