Yesterday morning I finished reading The Ground beneath Her Feet by Salman Rushdie. It was pretty good. Mary Beth and I went and picked up some doughnuts from Memphis Donuts and took 'em to Overton Park and ate 'em walking the trails. Kinda contradictory, but whatever! Getting that fall weather before it turns any more winter. Then we had some pho and bahn mis at Pho Saigon. Also at night Mary Beth let me read this comic book called Paper Girls. I don't read a lot of comics but it was really good. We also ended the night by watching Marie Antoinette and it was alright. The long holiday was really nice. Pretty relaxing. Back to work today and it was alright. Came home to this cd in the mail: Youth Code: The Overture. Also, I meant to mention this the other day. I ran across this upload of this album made by this 14-17 year old girl whose dad ran some university's electronic music studio that finally saw the light of day a few years ago when she uploaded it somewhere. It's not available other than a download, but yeah, it's pretty fucking awesome. Anyway, here's the link to it: https://archive.org/details/JNN042-HMGS-MynameisMariettaCashman (I was happy to listen to it the other day).
