Last night Mary Beth and I went to see a couple Beckett plays at First Congo: Ohio Impromptu and Krapp's Last Tape. Both about an hour together. They were both pretty short, but the first was the shortest (a warmp up I guess). They actually went really well together and the first flowed into the second. The performance was good too (both were pretty much monologues, the first had two actors but only one spoke). Anyway, it was real good. I hadn't been in the church before and when we first arrived we were lost (with some other people) wandering around the building trying to figure out where to go. Obviously we figured it out. Can't believe I forgot to mention in my last post that we saw THX 1138 at The Brooks on Thursday night. It was good. Now we've seen it in the theater all normal-like (in addition to with a band playing along). The Family Ghost practiced today. Our set came together pretty well for our SHOW NEXT FRIDAY AT THE HI-TONE. Yeah yeah. I'm synthing it up this time with the eurorack and Taurus (synths that don't make it to shows too too often). "Histrionics" might be a little chaotic but it started coming together (and nothing wrong with a little chaos). Jacques brought over our birthday presents finally haha (he'd been waiting on something for Mary Beth coming from Japan that took forever). So I got: Public Enemy: Man Plans God Laughs, Cliff Martinez: Only God Forgives soundtrack, and Koji Kondo's Super Mario Bros. Soundtrack by Andrew Schartmann (in that 33 1/3 series). So I'm pretty excited about that shit! Mary Beth's off at the book fair. Too bad I had to miss it.
