Sound Road

Last night Mary Beth and I walked over to see Mad Max: Fury Road again (this time in flat 2D). I think the 2D helped some, especially with the polecats. But some things that I know were real (like the flaming guitar, cheesy as it is) still looked cgi. I think it had to do with the different camera speeds he was working with. And I know it was intentional, a lot of the time going for a comic book feel. Some of it worked, but overall to me it feels like a little bit of a loss to have put all that effort into practical effects only to have some of them look cgi in the end anyway. Again, just these are just details, overall still liked the movie. Was going to jog this morning but as I was starting to get ready it had started to rain. Maybe later? We'll see.
