Mary Beth and I did our christmas thingie this morning! It was very very nice. Oh, and before we started we got a delivery from ups with the present from my parents: a new mattress! (The one we'd been using is one I'd had since I was in high school and pretty sure was my parents' for years before that, so uh, it's pretty old.) It's the kind that's all super compressed into a giant roll and then you cut the plastic open and it blows up. I got a shirt in the mail yesterday: Eye on Springfield (it came for me with Mary Beth's stocking stuffers). Okay, now on to the gifts! Well, I did open a shit ton of board games Mary Beth got in a sale that she went ahead and wrapped even though they were really extra. There were a couple games that she had gotten me for christmas before the sale anyway. I'll do the sale games first: Love Letter, Guillotine, Fiasco, 7 Wonders, Zooloretto, Camelot: the Build, Power Grid, Spy Alley, and Splendor! Like I said, a shit ton of games! Okay now I'll move on to present-presents. I guess I'll start with the games since I'm on the subject: Tsuro, Morels, and Takenoko. They all look pretty damn awesome. I got a cd: Mica Levi: Under the Skin soundtrack (I've heard shit from this online and it's pretty damn awesome!). I got the Criterion Designs book. Holy fuck! It's huge and awesome. I got a rootbeer making kit! This is something I'm super-pumped about 'cuz brewing my own rootbeer is something I'd been thinking about doing for a while now. Also I got some soda syrup. I got a scarf, a bright orange fleece jacket, a little clip-on tuner, and a single-bowl quick ice cream maker! A very nice christmas for me! Plus she said there's a couple things that didn't come on time. Golly! What else? I guess that's it for now. Awesome christmas so far and it's only the beginning of christmas eve!
