Lounge

We went to Kwik Chek and I tried their new sandwich: bi bim bop burger! My new favorite thing there! Very messy but extremely awesome. Jacques came over and we worked on album art/title. We may have started getting something for the cover. At 6 Mary Beth and I went to Broad to see this free dance class thingie. It was outside in the "Water Tower Pavilion" (that old truck bay down the hill to the side under its namesake). Mary Beth liked it more than me. We started to participate in the dance for a minuite but then quickly got lost and quit. Fox Glove, Ryan's other band played a show last night at The Poplar Lounge. So we went. They were alright, pretty poppy and straightforward. The best and worst things they played were covers. I actually kind of liked their Yeah Yeah Yeahs cover, but they ended with a Wolf Parade cover that I did not like. The band that followed them was godawful. Community Bubble. Two guys playing jokey cutesey music. After a song or two Paul and I walked to Sonic to get some beverages. After all that Mary Beth and I joined Paul down the road at the Beer Garden for karaoke. I did two songs pretty awfully: "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" (The Gap Band, of course) and "Joan of Arc" (Leonard Cohen). The last one threw me off 'cuz it sounded weird, like overblown Nashville country and it was a duet? Maybe there's some later version I don't know about. Anyway, late start to today.
