Short week, but damn. They're still all weeks. Dr. Hunter doing more mass nitpicking. This one seemed not as bad, so far anyway. What else has been going on? Everything just seems a blur at the end of the week. I did get a couple books in the mail yesterday: Berlin Alexanderplatz by Alfred Döblin and Nostalgia by Mircea Cărtărescu (the Döblin's actually out of print and had been trying to track it down for a reasonable price, thankfully Powell's finally came through). Got scratched yesterday trying to reciprocate Tina's (that's the outside cat's name) pets. She'd rub up against my hand, but did not like the slightest rubbing back. Looks like the owner will be back around Thanksgiving to pick her up and was angry that her pets weren't being cared for. That's good. Mary Beth and I drove around and stuff tonight. Oh, I found out I have an observation a week from Monday. It will be during my worst worst worst class. Sigh. I guess we'll see how that goes. My brain's sort of fried right now trying to work out a practice schedule that our neighbors and my bandmates could agree on. Took some bargaining and pleading but I got a little bit of time so we can actually run through our set a couple times before our show NEXT WEEK. Okay, now to this part. I know NOBODY (especially in town) actually reads this fucking thing, but I'll mention it anyway:

The Family Ghost has a show this upcoming Thursday the 21st at the Poplar Lounge. Not sure of the time, but I'm hoping to get a relatively early start. We're playing first, so if you're coming come sooner than later. We're also starting off with new stuff and we're really gonna hit this motherfucker right in the beginning so you don't wanna miss it, I promise! Anyway, I'll probably do some more shameless empty self-promotion when I get more details.
