Came up with a cover art idea for the album yesterday. It's an idea I've had in my head for a while, but I started putting some rough drafts together in photoshop. I don't think Jacques likes 'em though. He's still caught up on these spookier pictures he took a while ago. We recorded the vocals for "The Provincial." We (including Paul) did a little workshopping on some trouble lines he was having with "Cameras." We did a little thesaurusing as well. Though we might do the same on Paul's song (or record the vocals), but he says he's nowhere near finished. I threw down my foot pedal triggered synth part on "Battle Chant." I hooked up a little extra eurorack patch to go along with it. Sounds pretty awesome. We all we out and had dinner at Evergreen Grill (with Mary Beth and Shawna). Jacques and I returned and put down the synth "part" on the chorus of "Histrionics." (Just some loud random notes that jump out a la Chrome). Ooh we also played around as I finally got a chance to test my present from Josh. As I thought, it's something of a random tone generator. Makes lots of Atari-ish sounds and it's very unpredicable and awesome. I'm guessing it might be a few oscillators fm modulating each other, or something similar. Not exactly sure though. Now it's my last day. Do have some work to do. Do want to keep being lazy.
