Jacques came over yesterday. We did a little bit of recording work. Put a bit of sequenced modular at the end of the song Paul will be singing on. We tried to record Jacques's vocals on "Histrionics," but he was getting frustrated. So then we tried to redo my vocals on "Battle Chant." It wasn't working out right, and we actually tried three times. Kills the fuck outta my voice, it really can't handle more than once. Well, to try again for another week. We went back to "Histrionics" and got the non-shouted parts. Jacques is still unsure about the second verse. I think it sounds good, but he, as usual, went over each nuance of his voice with an aural microscope and was flipping out over things no one else would be able to tell were there. I still haven't gotten my copy of I Dream of Wires, but Jacques got his this week. So he brought it and Mary Beth and I hosted a watching PARTY. Actually, more people than I expected came. Well, the aforementioned plus Josh. Mary Beth had made food and it was awesome and we all looked at synths for four hours. Then we stayed up real late talking and it was fun. Now it's Sunday and I need to do some shit.
