More recording today. I redid this one bass part I had fixed yesterday, but recorded differently so it sounded off. We also rerecorded Jacques' guitar part on the same section (this is on "Histrionics...during the bass "solo" thing). Actually, before we had overlooked recording that section and when we tried last week the tone was too far off so we ended up cutting and pasting from a later part in the song where he plays the same thing. Well, we gave it a go at actually recording it and it sounds better. Ryan came up with a guitar part and we recorded that. We put it through a bit of modular flanger and phaser. Then after Ryan left we were working on building up a synth part for Paul and there was a heated moment, but then it was better. Jacques gave me a birthday thingie: Boards of Canda: Tomorrow's Harvest. Woo. After all that, Jacques, Paul, Mary Beth and I went to the Bar-B-Q Shop and I'm full. Oh, and I was playing around forever on this synth through delay thing that's very Raymond Scott-esque. I can just improve on it forever and it sounds awesome.
