Yesterday I started recording a song. I started with the bass, then laid down a track on the Prophet, then laid down a track with the Voyager in tandem with the modular. Hopefully today I'll get a chance to lay some drums down (and maybe another synth part or two). Not to jinx it as it's not even finished yet, but so far I'm thinking this is the best thing I've done for my solo soundtrack project thingie. It ended up being long, but that's okay.

Got a late start today. Mary Beth and I went to triple a to get some maps, but then the damn place moved out to fucking Cordova so we drove out there, what the fuck. Then it was getting late-ish so I put off going to the gym for a bit to record drums for that song I mentioned in my last post. It sucked, I've become a shit drummer in the past years. I was considering running it through some effects to maybe make it sound cool, but I don't know. I might redo them a bit more streamlined after the trip. I was thinking I'd have it all done before we left, oh well. Then we go to the gym as it starts to skyarrhea outside. From the car to the building I had to run through four fucking torrential rivers. So I get in and my feet are soaked. I don't care about my upper part being wet at all, but I can't stand wet fucking shoes and socks. After being annoyed and leaving potentially dangerous wet spots on the floor of the weight room wherever I stepped, I went into the bathroom and wrung out my damn socks. That improved things. My feet felt somewhat better and my shoes stopped leaving little trails. Anyway, we got some Kwik Check on our way home (for tonight and for the trip tomorrow). Getting ready and it's off to Asheville/Philadelphia/Cape Cod.
