Finished recording the bass on Sunday and later I recorded most of the synth (the Minimoog mostly but linked to the Taurus via midi, which was kind of a bitch 'cuz for some reason it wants to play the Taurus way too many octaves high to where it only even picks up on the bottom eight keys and won't even play the low notes I need. I got it to work with some weird finagling, but I'd like to figure out how to do it more naturally). Yesterday Mary Beth and I celebrated our national independence by doing our regular workout routine at the gym. After that we went to my grandmother's. My parents are on vacation and I've got stuff to do in their absence, mostly involving my grandmother. I was told to take out her garbage then, but it apparently doesn't get picked up 'til later this week so I'll just have another visit with her later then. Then we went grocery shopping for our fourth of July evening. Back home I made some corrections to the day before's synth playing. On the chorus part I was coming in a beat early on all but the first phrases, so I figured out how the auto punch in works and replaced the necessary two notes six times. Fun! But all that's finished and stuff and now all it's wanting is Jacques and (?) Brad. I did make a point to celebrate the holiday by drinking a Mexican Coke. Oh and I forgot to mention, Sunday we cleaned out the front room thingie. It's like no longer a storage dump but like a room and stuff. Golly.
