Before I get into my post propper, I should remember to announce that this coming Thursday (May 5th) The Family Ghost will be playing a show at Murphy's, so uh, come and stuff! (And if you're in St. Louis and Louisville the next two nights respectively then you should come see us wherever we're playing in those cities as well!) We are coming into something of a problem with the out-of-town shows and Todd suddenly informed us less than a week before our mini-tour that he has some Scottish Rite thing on Friday and can't play. Wow. We're desperately searching for a plan b right now.
Anyway, yesterday evening Mary Beth and I hung out with Josh. We went to The Cove 'cuz Mary Beth had had this voucher/coupon thingie she'd been wanting to use for a while. We got some of their food that used to be extremely good and it was pretty bad last night. There's this green sauce stuff on everything that makes it all taste like a zoo smells kinda. That oyster pizza used to be amazing and I couldn't even bother to eat my half. Afterwards we wandered around wondering what to do, when we decided to go downtown and have a look at the river. And yeah, it's REALLY high. Didn't realize music fest was going on so downtown proper was a bit crowded, didn't get a good look at the water in the darkness of driving by but saw how freakishly close the riverboats were docked. We went over to Harbor Town to get out and get a look. The fucking river's up to like three feet from the walkway. I guess we'll see how shit goes down when all that flooding that's supposed to happen today does so.
