last night Mary Beth and i braved the jelly belly bamboozled "game"...one of the stocking stuffers she gave me...it's just a bunch of jellybeans with identically colored good and bad flavors (you know, the real ones they'd normally sell and the disgusting ones that taste like puke and pencil shavings, etc...) it also comes with a little spinny wheel so you can make a game of it...anyway, we were making a game of it and i must say i got an inordinately large number of the bad flavors...i didn't think any of them could possibly be worse than skunk spray; however, a little later i ended up with rotten egg...probably the most vile thing i've ever put in my mouth...i almost threw up, it made me gag and there was a phantom taste in the back of my throat for a while...and it would surface in the background when i ate other things (to drown out the flavor)...i even felt like i had a very mild sort of post-traumatic stress disorder...it sort of made me a nervous wreck the rest of the evening...i mean, that shouldn't be worse than puke, right? puke wasn't even so bad, i mean, it wasn't good, but you could eat it and just think "oh, this does not taste good"...the rotten egg fucked with me psychologically...and while i had to spit the skunk spray out, that didn't come close either...i'm never venturing there again...also, in the wake of all this i finally tried those miracle berry tablets i got as another stocking stuffer...they're kinda weird, they didn't make everything sweet so much as make my tongue taste-numb...there was like a "blind" spot on my tongue...even sweet stuff was muted...i dunno...anyway, need to get to my last bit of grading...i am NOT ready to go back tomorrow...i mean, these two weeks have been great...i thought they would fly by but they haven't...they've felt like they've gone on for quite a while...man, i like not working...
