friday at work i finished reading Utilitarianism by John Stuart Mill...been wanting to read more philosophy, though it takes twice as long to read as fiction so i guess i'm lazy about it...(and this book isn't even that deep...good, but not at all difficult...perhaps it's just that philosopher's generally aren't the best at wording their ideas...i don't know...) then in the evening Mary Beth and i went over to Josh and Molly's and exchanged some gifts...i got the Plague Bearer pedal that Josh had initially planned to give me as a birthday present but it took him longer to build than he'd thought (it's this synth module that he adapted to be in a guitar pedal...i think he made some modifications on it...it's pretty much a band pass (well, low pass and high pass in series) that's really really noisy...it has the cv control too...oh and it sounds AWESOME...) and i also got the non-engrish shirt from engrish.com that i'd been really wanting but never got around to getting as i can't avoid the funny shirts: the one j-teez worth getting that's of a woodblock of the solar system...it's a totally sweet shirt...then yesterday at work i read all of Flatland: a Romance of Many Dimensions by Edwin A. Abbott which was good, yay math and secret santas...i'd left my bag at Josh and Molly's the night before so i was without the book i'd been reading...then in the evening back to Josh and Molly's again for their christmas party thingie...i had a good time...i did have a mishap: after i started eating the awesome food my fucking hand started swelling up...i took some benadryl and it went back to normal, but it was weird...i guess i had an alergic reaction to something but i don't know of any allergies...so anyway...then today...um...nothing to say about today...
