got up early today to go up to the ol' school to meet with an advisor very briefly...then i came back home and applied for grad school online...so yeah, i guess i've decided i'm going to be a teacher...pretty fucked up i guess...for the longest time that was a big no...then six months or so ago (a rough guess) i was considering it but decided against it...then i had a sudden change of mind recently and as i've already taken that first baby step and spent some money on it, i guess that means i've definitely resolved to do it...i also registered to take my praxis ii exam for math (as that's what i plan on teaching)...
work pissed me off today...we got our schedules for the week of the fourth of july...as the holiday falls on a saturday, the "company holiday" is on the third...well, i wanted to work the company holiday and get the holiday pay, but no...i couldn't work it and not only could i not work it but i have to work the fucking fourth...so they screwed me in the asshole and i'm having to work the fucking holiday without getting paid (holiday pay, of course...) fucking cocksuckers...on a less annoying note, someone wanted to trade days next week so i will have two days off in a row after all...it does mean i'll be working eight days in a row instead of seven, but it's worth it...and that nine days in a row from before wasn't so bad...plus the next work week will only be two days long surrounded by two full weekends...and today i finished reading Letters to Felice by Franz Kafka and that's it for now...
